Add a Current Text List Directly to Your Weekly Tips

Already have a text list? Let's set them up for weekly oily tips!

To use this lesson, your list MUST have already opted into texts from you and should be already getting texts from you consistently from another platform!

Text compliance does not allow for more than 1% opt-out once a text is sent. This means if you send a text to 100 people and more than 1 of them says STOP to opt out, your account will be seen as spam and your number will be suspended for an opt-out rate of over 1%.

Because this is such a small amount, please be sure you are using this lesson ONLY if you have people who already opt-in and are receiving consistent texts from you!

Step By Step Instructions to Add Your Text List to

Weekly Oily Tips!

  • Personalize The Confirmation Message:

    1. Import your list using our import lesson and be sure to tag this list during the last step of import as something like 'Text List'

    2. Head to the Automation Tab and Select the Year One Tips Folder

    3. Click 'Texted Tips' Workflow

    4. Edit the text to introduce your list to these tips!

    5. Edit the graphic if needed

  • Send your Opt-In List to the Tips:

    1. Head to your contacts tab and select MORE FILTERS

    2. Type Tag and select the tag you gave to your text list.

    3. Select Apply and X out of the filters screen

    4. Select the Box next to name, which will select that entire page of names.

    5. Select All if there is more than one page

    6. Click the Robot Icon, which is Add to Automation

    7. A. Select Workflow and choose the "Texted Tips" if you are introducing a new number or sending tips for the first time! This is recommended if you are using a new phone number. The workflow will send the text you edited and then move them into the correct month of tips.

    8. B. Select Workflow and Select Tips for the month you are in If you have the same number and were already sending weekly tips. This will just pop the list right into the correct month of tips with no introduction.

    9. If wanting to send to more than 1,000 send in drip mode of 100 every 60 seconds and input "reasonable text hours" so the system only sends the text at appropriate times of the day.

    10. *Be sure if sending to over 1,000 these are not a list that could get a lot of STOPS and they have already opted into texts from you.

    11. Add an Action Name for your records

    12. Select Send!
